Cool part-time, seasonal job selling cheese at local farmers' markets. Pay is $17+ per hour. The farmers' market season runs from May through October. We're looking for people who enjoy working independently, talking with people, love great cheese, and are really dependable.A typical farmers' market day involves waking up early, going to our shop (Green Bay), loading the van with cheese and market supplies, driving to market, selling cheese at your market from around 8 am until 12 pm, driving back to the shop, and unloading. A typical day is 8 to 10 hours, depending on market duration and drive time. Some heavy lifting is involved. (Cheese is heavy!)Weekend market positions are needed, but a few weekday shifts are available. If you're interested, tell us a little about your background and interests. The farmers' market community is filled with really great folks, so if you're one of those, we'd love to hear from you. It's an enjoyable gig, great for someone looking for something outdoors on the weekends.Responsibilities:Load up cheese and gear in the vehicle.Maintain and record temperatures of product.Cut cheese to the desired amount of customers.Take money and give change.Unload the remaining cheese and supplies back at the shop.Count down the cash box.Qualifications:Sales experience is a positive.Must have a valid driver's license.Ability to lift +35 lbs is a must.Must be dependable and available.About Company:Kickaas Cheese is a very small, independent cheese company located in Green Bay. Cheesemaker Dan Posselt rents time at different factories to make small batch cheese and sell exclusively at farmers' markets. Our cave or aging facility is based in Green Bay.
