Responsibilities
• Ensure minimum staffing levels for nurses and nurse aides• Assess residents using Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process• Maintain clean and safe environment• Develop dementia care program• Verify resident census accuracy• Coordinate pre-certifications and recertifications• Interpret policies and procedures to personnel• Participate in facility surveys• Audit nursing documentation• Complete medical forms and reports
Requirements
• Nursing degree or graduate of LPN/LVN program• Minimum 1 year experience as supervisor• Current active license as RN or LPN/LVN• Ability to provide age-appropriate care• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices• Leadership and supervisory ability• Ability to plan, organize, and interpret programs• Patience, tact, and enthusiasm• Ability to lift and move minimum of 25 pounds• Ability to relate to ill, disabled, and elderly individuals
