ABOUT THE ROLE We have an immediate need for a full-time, non-exempt  Chapter Coordinator in the Pittsburgh region. T here are multiple positions available.  SWSG has been gathering feedback from our college mentors, and we understand that being more closely connected to the activities of SWS improves the mentor experience! As a Chapter Coordinator , you will not only be serving your campus chapter members and the youth they mentor, but you will also be providing invaluable insight to SWSG about your assigned chapter and how we can optimize our programs. Responsible for coordinating various activities and initiatives for assigned SWSG college chapters, the Chapter Coordinator role serves as the primary point of contact for chapter members in providing support and resources that contribute to the growth and impact of SWSG at the college level. Successful candidates for this hybrid position will work on the following seasonal schedule:
July 22 – September 30 (10 – 25 hours per week) October 1 – May 31 (15 hours per week) Chapter Coordinators  will remain on the seasonal schedule listed above for the duration of their enrollment at their college or university, unless or until the candidate or SWSG elects to make an employment change. The pay rate for  Chapter Coordinators  is $17.50 per hour.
SWSG is seeking candidates to  start on July 22, 2024. However, applications will be accepted after this date for unfilled positions. Please apply by June 10 for priority consideration , with interview invitations to begin on a rolling basis. 
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Reporting to the Program Manager role, the Chapter Coordinators collaborate closely with the SWSG program team. Providing immediate support to the organization's Program Managers, the Chapter Coordinators will engage with college chapter partnerships to develop, enhance, and retain relationships. 
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING The Chapter Coordinators directly support SWSG's program team to ensure the successful operation of their assigned college chapter. This role is mainly administrative, but it does require frequent follow-up and possible visits with stakeholders (sites and community partners) and chapter members. The responsibilities and duties include the following essential functions: 
SWSG Chapter Assistance : Help Chapter Directors and e-board implement strategies to recruit and engage chapter members (including, but not limited to, planning and organizing chapter events, meetings, workshops, and other activities to foster a sense of community and fulfill the chapter's objectives).  Facilitate regular check-ins during chapter meetings or with members to share ideas, updates, and challenges.  Coordinate with mentors and Chapter Directors in preparation for Mentor Summit and the program year (ensure all mentors submit registration forms).  Share program year calendar, timelines, and deliverables with Chapter Directors and mentors  Assist with curriculum supply coordination.  SWSG Program Site Assistance : 

Act as a liaison between chapter and partner sites to support the coordination of program logistics (time, program space, Dry Runs, mentee registrations, etc.). This means you will have frequent contact with program Site Facilitators, and may require visits to program sites (especially at the beginning and end of each semester). Confirm program rosters, collect attendance from Site Leaders, and enter data into Salesforce when necessary (especially at the end of each semester).  SWSG Evaluation and Program Team Assistance :

Collaborate with the SWSG's program team to understand chapter goals, objectives, and action plans.  Execute the Mentor Hours spreadsheet at the conclusion of each semester. Serve as a point of contact for chapter members, implementing support and resources provided by the SWSG office and informing them about upcoming events, opportunities, and other relevant information.  Represent SWSG in meetings, conferences, or events at the college level as needed. Help facilitate, analyze, and report college program evaluations. Ensure that SWSG Chapters are upholding the policies and procedural expectations of the organization. WHAT YOU'LL BRING ALONG  Required Education & Experience : Currently enrolled at a college or university that is in partnership with SWSG. Participated in SWSG's program as a college mentor for at least one full year or two semesters. SWSG also highly desires the following levels of experience:
Previously held positions of leadership (e-board member, site leader, etc.) in your chapter are desired, but not required! Candidates who are in their junior year of college are also strongly encouraged to apply. Other Qualifications : To be optimally successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
Proven experience and ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including other college mentors, Site Facilitators, and mentee families.  Ability to occasionally commute to partner organizations, program sites, and the assigned college chapter (this means you have flexibility in your schedule during site times). Ability to meet quick deadlines and consistently meet with SWSG program staff. Experience in Google Suite and Salesforce (If you have limited experience in these programs, SWSG provides training for you to feel comfortable on these platforms) . Stable internet connection and ability to sit and view a computer screen for prolonged periods of time. Repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and fingers due to typing and the ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds. GET TO KNOW US!  SWSG is a multi-generational mentoring organization.
