Location: Ahoskie, NC, 27910
Shift: Monday - Friday with one weekend day/month
Salary: $28 to $30 per hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Ahoskie, NC. As a COTA, you will work closely with Occupational Therapists to assist patients in developing, recovering, and improving the skills needed for daily living and working. Your role will involve implementing therapy programs, monitoring patients' progress, and providing support to help them achieve their therapeutic goals.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients. Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities designed to improve motor skills, coordination, and mobility. Provide hands-on assistance and guidance to patients during therapy sessions. Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and exercises to facilitate continued progress outside of therapy sessions. Document patient interactions, progress, and treatment plans accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment, ensuring equipment is properly sanitized and maintained. Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and their families to ensure continuity of care. Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines governing occupational therapy practice. Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of NC. CPR certification (current). Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
