Mercy Community Healthcare has an opening for an enthusiastic and passionate Certified Medical Assistant.
What does this job look like? Work with a Primary Care Provider who sees pediatric and adult patients. Take vital signs, obtain info on patient's chief complaints; administer vaccines; collect necessary paperwork; assist with patient procedures. Work with the primary care team to contact patients concerning appointments and lab results. Perform specialized procedures, such as phlebotomy, and simple wound care, under appropriate protocol and procedural guidelines. Set up, clean, and disinfect exam rooms and medical equipment and maintain stocks of medical supplies, as necessary. Work with the nursing team to achieve quality improvement by proactively looking for ways to improve patient flow, quality of care, safety, and health. What are the job requirements? High school diploma or equivalent and certification as a Medical Assistant Ability to use and document patient notes in the Electronic Medical Record. Must have a certification as a medical assistant or ability to obtain it within 90 days of employment. Must have outstanding communication skills. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain with 90 days of employment. Benefits for you! Day shift hours.
