Responsibilities
• Providing home health aide services in accordance with care plan• Assisting with personal care tasks• Utilizing Universal Precautions• Transporting consumers to appointments and running errands• Assisting with household chores• Providing companionship• Assisting with skilled therapy services• Routine care of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices• Maintaining positive relationships with consumers• Ensuring quality and safe delivery of services
Requirements
• Current D.C. Home Health Aide License• CPR Certification• Evidence of Tuberculosis screening• Evidence of D.C. Health Certificate/Physical Examination• Reliable form of transportation• Pass OSH's HHA competency exam• Provide 2-3 reliable references• Hoyer Lift experience preferred• Must meet eligibility requirements for sign-on and referral bonuses
