Responsibilities
• Proper triage and diagnostics for incoming emergency room patients• Treatment of hospitalized patients, including IV catheter placement, drug administration, radiographs, and lab diagnostics• Overnight care of hospitalized patients, including monitoring vitals, administering medications, IV fluid maintenance, and other duties
Requirements
• Certification as a licensed veterinary technician• 1-2 years experience in emergency/critical care• Skills in phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, animal handling, anesthesia monitoring, drug administration, nursing care, laboratory testing, surgery/procedural setup and clean up, and client communication/education• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including swing shifts, overnights/graveyards, weekends, and holidays• Professionalism, competency, self-motivation, reliability, and honesty
