Responsibilities
• Manages department budgets and provides periodic reports• Develops and implements administrative services work group goals and procedures• Manages administrative systems and ensures quality control of document preparation• Promotes professional behavior and resolves problems to create positive experiences• Evaluates department service delivery and leads quality control improvements• Supervises staff and handles personnel duties• Assists Director with long-range planning and prepares reports• Staffs and schedules Advisory Boards, Commissions, and task forces• Prepares materials for City Council and other official meetings• Provides technical support and prepares planning reports and written materials• Manages the budget for the Central Administrative Service Division• Promotes and implements division safety program• Represents the City of Corvallis and maintains effective work relationships• Adheres to all City and Department policies and maintains regular job attendance
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field• Five years of administrative and customer service work experience• At least two years of supervisory experience• Knowledge of budget principles, writing technical reports, and data analysis• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills• Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances• Excellent leadership skills and ability to supervise others• Ability to resolve problems and make independent decisions• Ability to establish policies and procedures across multiple functional areas• Ability to speak in public and facilitate meetings• Demonstrable commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability• Ability to travel among City worksites and pass background checks
