Job Description CALLING ALL TRAVELING HI-RAIL RAILROAD TRUCK OPERATORS WITH CDL! Do you have a love of the outdoors? Do you want to take in the scenic U.S.A? If so, then this is the job for you! Our Railroad Truck Operators mix herbicides to spray weeds and grass on the Union Pacific Railroad to make travel on the railways safe! IF YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO TRAVEL 100% OF THE TIME FOR UP TO 6 WEEKS AT A TIME, THEN APPLY NOW! MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: OPERATIONS: Oversee all jobs/contracts sent to work on. Spray complete weed, grass, and brush killer to various railroads. Do all daily routing and scheduling. Do all daily tank mixing. Do truck inspections (responsible for truck/spray system maintenance and repairs). Calibrate all spray equipment. Mae sure all work is conducted in compliance with strict safety guidelines. Responsible for all daily/weekly record keeping. SERVICE: Handle all contact with customers. Handle customer/public complaints. Report any potential liabilities immediately. TECHNICAL: Full understanding of weed, grass, and brush types. Complete understanding of chemicals used, what they control, and all safety requirements. Full understanding of application methods and equipment. Full understanding of calibration and spray patterns. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB: EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. EXPERIENCE: MUST HAVE A CLASS A OR B CDL. CDL WITH TANKER AND AIR BRAKE ENDORSEMENTS IS REQUIRED. ABILITY TO TRAVEL AWAY FROM HOME FOR UP TO 4-6 WEEKS (hotel expenses paid by the Company). Most work is done Monday-Friday 7am-4pm. Most days are 8+ hour days, but you MUST be able to work twelve-hour days when necessary. Saturday, Sunday, or night work will be required. Hours may vary depending on weather conditions and workload. Spraying will be seasonal coinciding with regional offices. MUST COMPLY WITH THE COMPANY DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY.
