Responsibilities
• Greet customers with a friendly demeanor and provide fast and efficient service.• Ring up customer sales using an electronic cash register, ensuring accurate transactions.• Count money at the beginning and end of each shift during shift changes.• Process specialty products such as money orders, credit card purchases, checks, and lottery sales.• Enforce age restrictions by checking identifications for restricted sales.• Keep shelves stocked and ready for customers.• Maintain a clean environment by sanitizing equipment and areas.• Clean and empty trash containers.• Check in vendor deliveries and stock shelves.• Complete the bad merchandise form to handle challenges.• Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.• Welcome and make customers feel comfortable.
Requirements
• Must be 18 years old or older in certain states, and 21 years old or older in other states.• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.• Basic math skills required.• Capable of lifting up to 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.• Personable, positive, detail-oriented, reliable, responsible, and flexible.• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
