The Case Management Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of assigned department activities: collaborates with leadership, departments and physicians on behalf of improving care to the patients served by the department. The Supervisor develops, maintains and monitors clinical standards, participates in other assigned duties and meets organizational performance standards. The Supervisor maintains 24-hour line responsibility for fiscal, human, and material resources for assigned department. Functions as an integral part of the leadership team and participates in other assigned duties to meet organizational performance standards. This position reports to the Executive Director of Clinical Outcomes (EDCO). This position is hourly, non-exempt.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and experience:
Bachelor's degree (BSN) from ACEN or CCNE accredited school of nursing desired. Greater than 2 years clinical and/or management experience preferred. Proven knowledge and skills:
Knowledge of care management, resource and utilization management required. Three (3) to five (5) years of hospital experience, including experience in Case Management or related field, is preferred. Expert communication skills and interpersonal relationships with the ability to collaborate with diverse personalities and ability to be tactful, mature and flexible. Expert skills in time-management with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Expert conflict resolution skills Computer keyboard and intermediate computer operating knowledge required; experience with Microsoft Office products and software relevant to duties required including the electronic medical record. Licensure, registration or certification:
Must have proof of maintenance of current Nursing licensure in the state of Kansas or Multi-State license, c ertified in basic life support (BLS), speciality certification strongly encouraged within 2 yrs of accepting position.
