We are committed to a safe work environment sending every person home safe and healthy every day and leaving a sustainable legacy on our host communities.Responsibilities:Conduct investigations to minimize/eliminate equipment failures, develop action plans and oversee the implementation of these actionsParticipate and/or facilitate root cause failure analysis (RCA) as part of a broader teamParticipate in all new installations and equipment purchases to ensure their maintainability and reliabilityParticipate in reviewing and developing commissioning procedures for new system, asset, and component design - including facilitating Reliability-Centered Maintenance or RCMMaintain testing strategy for incoming new and rebuilt spares Monitor OEM compliance testingMonitor and action, as required, OEM warranty issues and claimsContribute to developing and implementing specific procedures for precision maintenance and verification of an asset's fitness for return to service; verify return to service procedures and tasks are performedAnalyze condition-based maintenance data including oil analysis, vibration analysis, ultrasonics, and infrared thermography, as well as equipment history data to determine business cases to recommend and action solutions to chronic problems and to extend asset and component lifeProvide guidance and training to maintenance personnel, as needed, including developing safe work proceduresResolve queries from operations, maintenance, or others as applicable by providing information on work product and the related policies, referring to others where necessary for interpretation of policyDeliver small project workstreams, carrying out specified project activities within defined time and quality parameters and ensuring adherence to the prescribed project management methodologyFollow the organization's HS&E policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the wellbeing of oneself and others in the workplaceDevelop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist mediaQalifications:Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a similar technical discipline; or equivalent relevant experiencerequiredMinimum three (3) years' experience in a reliability role in an industrial environmentpreferredExperience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Condition Monitoring techniques such as: oil and vibration analysis, thermography and/or ultrasonicpreferredExperience in Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Failure Maintenance Effect Analysis activities for maintenance/process/equipment design optimizationpreferredStrong analytical skills and knowledge of reliability and improvement concepts: RCA, FMEA, RCM, LEANpreferredCertified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) and/or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE)preferredProficient in Microsoft Office suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
