We are committed to a safe work environment sending every person home safe and healthy every day and leaving a sustainable legacy on our host communities.Responsibilities:Strong understanding and experience with open pit blasting techniques and controls Hands-on experience with data collection and assessment of rock mass and rock defect strength properties Strong understanding of stiff soil properties, anisotropy and effects on slope design Working competence in Rocscience suite of surface stability software programs Understanding of 3-D geologic model inputs and development, and impacts on slope stability Experience with bench scale and inter-ramp scale slope design compliance Must be able to work in a team environment Clear and concise communication and liaison skills with various personnel levels Qalifications:Bachelor's degree in Geological Engineering or related fieldrequired5 - 7 years hands-on geotechnical experience at an active open pit mine sitepreferredDemonstrated ability for developing and sustaining short term and long term projectspreferredSupervisory experience of engineers and technicianspreferredWhat We Can Offer YouA comprehensive compensation package including a competitive medical, dental, and vision plan with national provider networks, a 401k retirement plan with employer contribution AND employer match, paid time off, company-sponsored medical clinics, company match share purchase program, and much more!
