The successful candidate will be responsible for working with teams to improve and deliver growth projects through development into the Life of Mine plan. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for design, costing, and scheduling of system construction related to fixed mine infrastructure within the growth projects at NGM. Steering Committee & Technical Committees)Perform scoping level design and costing on mine infrastructure systems as required by fixed plant and mine projects. Projects are typically between $2M & $20M in capital spend and consist of pumping stations/pipe distribution systems, mine fill plant scoping/analysis/design, conveyor sizing & evaluations, and ventilation/cooling infrastructure.Evaluate and analyze various solutions for project challenges related to fixed infrastructure and provide recommendations to project team on fit for purpose solution.Host and participate in Engineering project reviews.Manage external studies supporting design development as requiredCommunications at multiple levels within the organization around key decisions and milestones to project delivery.Develop and implement methodology/system supporting plant design and estimation as related to fixed infrastructure.Perform other duties as assigned.
