Carlin - Drilling Supervisor

Position Description:Nevada Gold Mines is looking for a Drilling Supervisor to join the Carlin MRM team located in Elko, NV. The successful candidate will partner with Drilling Services and Geology teams to ensure drilling programs are executed according to plan and in compliance with all Nevada Gold Mines Safety and Health, Contractor Management and Environmental policies and applicable regulatory agency guidelines.Responsibilities:Review project scopes of work and support drill planning Provide technical advice on the suitability of proposed drilling methods to achieve project objectives Ensure drill sites are constructed within design parameters and ready for occupancy Ensure drill rigs are property set up Provide detailed daily activity reporting Accurately reports status updates on hole conditions , sample quality and recovery and delays to drilling Liaison with Mine Operations personnel Ensure all down hole surveys are performed to client specifications Inspect equipment and laydown areas Manage inventory of consumables Participate in contractor safety meetings and incident investigations Conduct visible felt leadership interactions with drill contractors Qualifications:Two (2) years of experience with exploration drilling, specific technical knowledge of air rotary and core drilling Experienced in contract management Strong commitment to achieving zero accidents and citations Good communication skills and problem solving skills Experience with computer software (MS Office, AcQuire) Familiarity and understanding of exploration process Ability to travel locally on a routine basis What We Can Offer YouA comprehensive compensation package including bonuses benefits, and stock purchase plans where applicable Ability to make a difference and lasting impact Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team An Opportunity to transform Traditional Mining into the future of Digital Mining Opportunities to grow and learn with the industry colleagues are endless Access to a variety of career opportunities across Nevada Gold Mine locations Nevada Gold Mines is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer #LI-RM1Job Identification228210Posting Date2024-01-17Job ScheduleFull timeJob CategoryGeologyLocationsCarlin, NV, United States
