Responsibilities:
Preparation of Export Shipments:
Organize and prepare export shipments in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with international shipping regulations.
Effective Communication:
Interact proactively with customers, overseas agents, and subcontractors to coordinate and facilitate smooth cargo movements.
Provide timely updates and address inquiries related to shipments.
Carrier Planning:
Plan and arrange suitable carriers for each shipment, considering cost-effectiveness and delivery timelines.
Collaborate with transportation providers to ensure seamless cargo movement.
Export Shipment Handling:
Manage the entire export shipment process, including packing, labeling, and distribution of cargo.
Ensure that all shipments are handled securely and in adherence to quality standards.
Quoting and Booking:
Provide accurate and competitive quotes for customers.
Book shipments with carriers and secure all necessary documentation for customs clearance.
Billing and Approval:
Generate and submit bills for all shipment charges to customers.
Review and approve vendor billing to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in cargo handling and export logistics.
Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and stakeholders.
Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in using relevant software and systems for cargo and logistics management.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
Previous experience in a similar role within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
