Manages flow of information to physicians, nursing staff, clerical staff, etc. as necessary to maintain operations, and prioritizes workload to facilitate efficient flow of communication. Works with coworkers and other departments to assist with the provision of safe, efficient and quality patient care. Responsible for disseminating information to appropriate persons, insurance verification and authorizations, registering patients and overseeing the overall flow of patients receiving infusion services.
Works in a comprehensive cancer center that provides chemotherapy, medical oncology, infusion services, radiation therapy, integrative medicine, nutrition, social work, survivorship and other supportive care treatments. Responsible for coordinating appointments across multidisciplinary teams related to patient treatment plan.

Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Experience: Minimum four years experience in scheduling, patient access, registration, billing, cash collections, insurance and/or pre-certification, or related experience in a medical environment; required.
