Team member must maintain excellent customer service and working relationships with patients, hospital staff, office staff and physicians. Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and function well in stressful situations. Demonstrates ability to multi-task efficiently and treats patients and their families with respect and dignity; ensures confidentiality of patients' records. * Team member obtains prior authorization and scheduling for gyn oncology chemotherapy infusions in market The Cancer Support Services Coordinator routinely schedules and coordinates patient appointments with provider and multidisciplinary teams. Manages flow of information to physicians, nursing staff, clerical staff, etc. as necessary to maintain operations, and prioritizes workload to facilitate efficient flow of communication. Works with coworkers and other departments to assist with the provision of safe, efficient and quality patient care. Responsible for disseminating information to appropriate persons, insurance verification and authorizations, registering patients and overseeing the overall flow of patients receiving infusion services.
Works in a comprehensive cancer center that provides chemotherapy, medical oncology, infusion services, radiation therapy, integrative medicine, nutrition, social work, survivorship and other supportive care treatments. Responsible for coordinating appointments across multidisciplinary teams related to patient treatment plan.

Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Experience: Minimum four years experience in scheduling, patient access, registration, billing, cash collections, insurance and/or pre-certification, or related experience in a medical environment; required.
