This role is part of the Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance team. This team is focused on monitoring and assessing processes that guide Blue Origin's design, manufacturing, and operations, ensuring system safety engineering, environmental health, and safety, product integrity, and continuous improvement processes.
As a part of our growing quality team, this role will partner with our calibration engineers to ensure the measurement & test equipment used to build space vehicles and rocket engines are calibrated and cycled on schedule.
Responsibilities:
Triage work incoming to the calibration office and balance team priority. Organize work in progress to promote efficient and transparent workflow. Manage logistics for vendor calibrations. Manage procurement for calibrations from established vendors. Make database updates to incoming assets. Pull existing reports and format for distribution. Interface with internal customers on status requests. Interface with calibration vendors on status and tracking updates. Assist manufacturing team with device recall & notification. Qualifications:
1 years in a calibration industry role. 3+ years in a manufacturing or logistics organizational role. 2 years using data organization tools (spreadsheets, databases, ect) to maintain, organize & track technical information. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumPhysical ability Lift 20lbs Walk up 2 flights of stairs Push cart with 100lbs of load Desired:
