Partners Personnel is now hiring for a Buyer in the Rockwood area!  Position: Buyer Pay Rate: $75K/year Shift: Monday to Friday (8am- 4:30pm) This position will be responsible for purchasing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment following established purchasing policies and procedures while optimizing price, delivery, and terms.  
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities: Analyzes and selects suppliers and issues purchase orders, follows up and expedites as necessary Analyzes and evaluates bids to determine optimum value, including assisting with annual supplier bids Reviews purchase requisitions for proper authorization Identifies potential suppliers and issues requests for quotations Selects suppliers and issues purchase orders, follows up and expedites as necessary Prepare purchasing reports, including purchasing trends by department Support TTA's inventory as needed, including conducting physical inventories Experience working in QAD Issue, maintain, and report petty cash Maintain all purchasing files and data bases Support ISO 9001 and 14000 audits Set up new items and suppliers within the Power Link System Work closely with the accounting department to verify purchases as well as Cap Ex projects. Assists with negotiations for service contracts and approves extra work claims Education/Experience: Minimum Associates Degree or equivalent experience Minimum of 3-5 years in a purchasing function Experience working in a manufacturing environment to include Lean Manufacturing and 5S Excellent level of PC skills (MS Office software, Power Link, Mapics, and QAD) Must be proactive with excellent problem solving skills Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and superior organizational abilities to interface with internal and external customers Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines
