Responsibilities
• Procure major goods and services for State agencies• Train, supervise, and evaluate assigned staff• Initiate disciplinary action if necessary• Procure equipment, commodities, and services for other departments• Coordinate special deliveries and resolve purchase order issues• Monitor vendor performance and administer service contracts• Ensure compliance by auditing invoices and expediting purchase orders• Assist in alternative delivery options• Maintain communication between state purchasing and end users• Complete all documentation related to procurement transactions
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field• Three years of professional experience in buying or purchasing• OR one year experience as a Buyer III in Nevada State service• OR equivalent combination of education and experience• Pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting required
