Location/Division Hybrid Role – Global Procurement – Flexible with global time zones
How will you make an impact? In this position, you will be responsible for assigned procurement and planning related activities for the company in obtaining materials. You will interpret demand and plan accordingly. You will Evaluate vendor reliability, develop new supply relationships. You will monitor cost, schedules, and scope of assigned contracts to assure best quality at best value. You will maintain a high quality of service to internal and external customers by assuring uninterrupted supply of materials to meet global customer demand.
What will you do: The Buyer/Planner will be part of a global team who will perform all functions needed to ensure the lowest total cost of purchased finished goods by ensuring the objectives of maximum product availability and quality with optimum inventory levels.
Manage a specific set of suppliers and participate in negotiations to implement proactive production philosophies, improved pricing strategies and policies, and procedures for successful integration into multiple business plans across a global supply chain. Additionally, Buyer/Planner may be responsible for preparing data and analyzing inventory trends, external and internal key performance metrics, and proposing process improvement and the generation or management of key reports, metrics, and projects. This is a service position and is responsive to the needs of internal and external suppliers and customers. The role includes team participation. How will you get here: Education: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related technical field. Equivalent combinations of experience and education will be considered. CPIM or CSCP certification a plus Experience: Minimum 5 years business experience in supply chain/procurement/planning Advanced skills in Excel and ERP, E1 and/or SAP preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities ·Knowledge of supply planning processes, total cost of ownership. ·Understand buying and planning policies and procedures ·Demonstrate knowledge of business concepts/principles (terms and conditions, transportation, accounting) Our Mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
