DESCRIPTION Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE), PV Discovery Analytics in Prime Video is at the forefront of changing how customers discover content.
We are seeking someone who not only possesses technical acumen and skill to design and implement analytical strategies and solutions but who is also a self-starter with business judgment and is able to both imagine and implement ideas that benefit customers.
In this role, you will work in a highly collaborative environment with Product Managers, Applied Scientists, Software Engineers, and Business teams to define and build an experience for customers that helps that discover new titles they will love.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with Product Managers and Applied Scientists to analyze the customer and business opportunity of adding new features to a machine learning based system.
- Understand high-level customer needs and business objectives and continually align work with those objectives to improve the product.
- Analyze and solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.
- Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis; data integrity, test design, analysis, validation and documentation.
- Write high quality code to retrieve and analyze data.
- Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon's data resources and know when, how and which to use and which not to use.

Culver City, CA, USA | New York, NY, USA | Seattle, WA, USA BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
