Position Summary As a Business Intelligence Developer I, you will work as a member of the BI team to develop tools and resources to support internal and external insight needs. You will partner with the Business Intelligence Analytics team to better understand needed data sets while also responsible for scripts to manage the distribution of standardized reports and ad-hoc report development.
This role is considered Remote. 
What will you do as a BI Developer I? Production Support (70%) Process multiple report distribution batch jobs by running automation applications via various distribution methods. Provide level one support on all BI Help Desk requests, using discretion to determine the difficulty level, importance and prioritization of each request. Develop ERP System Data (Oracle e-Business Suite, SQL server databases) to provide data structures to resolve Customer or business needs. Consult with internal users to identify and establish reporting requirements and objectives. Development (30%) Responsible for the ETL flow development for data warehouses. Develop programming routines for the maintenance and interfacing of data within the ERP system. Design, develop, code, test, debug and document database programming applications to satisfy requirements of multiple user areas. Work with large complex datasets from a variety of sources including Oracle and SQL Server Databases. Assist in the support and troubleshooting of Oracle Transactional Interfaces. Work closely with users to train, educate, inform, and control usage of the reporting application. Research complex data-oriented problems to discover inconsistencies in data and cleanses data as needed. Assist in technical consultation to business unit and I.T. management and staff. Implement additions and modifications to the data warehouse data model. Follow and support overall policies and goals for the companies Information Technology, including maintaining established Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and other regulatory IT general controls over the production environment. What Skills, Abilities, and Experience will you need? Bachelor's Degree with a focus in IT, Business, or Similar 1-2 years in a BI Development or similar role which can include Internships or Co-Ops. Database knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) Requires strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities Must be able to prioritize and perform in a fast-paced multi-task environment Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision Experience in the following is highly desirable: Oracle, PL/SQL, Tableau SSIS, SSRS, SSAs, Excel, .Net and other Microsoft Development Tools Experience and or understanding of Python /  R - desirable What STERIS Offers: At Steris, we invest in our employees and their families for the long term! Pay range for this opportunity is $59,300.00 - $77,826.00.This position is eligible for Bonus Program Participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
Employees (and their families) may enroll in our company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, health savings account, voluntary benefits, supplemental life/AD&D plans and the company's 401k plan. Employees are covered by an employee assistance program (also available to household members) and long-term disability. Full-Time Employees are also eligible for short-term disability.  Full-time Employees will also receive Paid Time Off (PTO) based on years of service and paid Holidays. Part-time employees working 20 or more hours receive a pro-ration of the full-time PTO allocation and paid Holidays based on their standard hourly work week. Full-Time employees are eligible for four weeks of paid parental leave. Part-time employees also receive paid parental leave, pro-rated based on their standard hourly work week.
