Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, forecasting and attaining sales revenue goals within a pre-assigned territory. Business Development Manager is responsible for all aspects of sales and account management. This includes lead generation, qualifying, setting appointments, making sales calls, presenting proposals and closing sales as well as coordinating all required resources to respond to complex requirements and sales situations. Effective management of territory and accurate reporting of sales activities are required.
Responsibilities:Prospect new sales opportunities with small and medium businesses applying lead generation sales methodologiesMeet or exceed quotas for qualified leads/appointments through phone and email-based prospectingPromptly follow-up with and qualify marketing-generated inquiries for our servicesPerform lead nurturing activities for all qualified leadsResearch and gather information about target SMB's and develop prospecting listsDocument all activities and interactions in CRMEfficiently manage prospect pipeline to produce the maximum amount of resultsCreate and perform various outbound call campaigns around verticals, specific events, or targets in addition to ongoing activities to build sales pipelineSupport our direct or indirect channel sales efforts as needed or requestedConduct web research and navigate organizations to uncover appropriate contactsSkills, Knowledge and Experience:Have a demonstrated track record of successful selling preferably in a high technology environmentStrong qualifying, prospecting and marketing skills; ability to reach prospects creatively, identify decision makers, set and go on appointments, handle objections positively and professionallyDevelop and execute on a strong prospecting plan of attackMaintain CRM data, ability to share best practices, continually improve processes and provide clear and consistent reporting to managementProactively manage your schedule and sales pipeline in order to meet milestones and objectivesField inbound calls and leads from various sources and qualify for business potentialAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environmentMust have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a high degree of professionalismPowerful written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to deliver above-expectation results in driving pipeline growthExcellent organizational, time management, and problem solving skillsEmploy creative tactics to reach the executive management of identified companiesCollege degree or equivalent, at least three years sales experience Personal Skills and Characteristics:Self-motivated, driven to plan and execute rigorous lead generation activitiesSmall business acumen a plusStrong team-playerHigh integrity and ethical behaviorStrong work ethic, can-do customer service attitudeIT Services experience a plus
