Role Description:
As a Business Development Director at our firm, you will have the exciting opportunity to consult with leaders in higher education, offering insights on how research can revolutionize academic institutions. Drawing upon your expertise in sales and market trends, you will craft compelling solutions tailored to our clients' needs, thereby driving revenue growth while maximizing your own earning potential.
Responsibilities:
Engage with prospects to understand the challenges and opportunities facing education leaders
Educate prospects on the unique value proposition of our products and services
Deliver polished presentations, both remotely and in person, guiding opportunities from introduction to closure
Manage a robust pipeline of prospects and provide accurate revenue forecasts
Meet ambitious monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
Act as a mentor to entry-level associates, fostering a culture of growth and excellence
Desired Skills and Attributes:
Bachelor's degree preferred, with a background in business, social sciences, education, communications, or related fields
Minimum of 2+ years of consultative sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong ability to uncover prospects' needs through effective questioning and solution matching
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Salesforce
Willingness to travel 10-20% as needed

Compensation:
Our compensation package is designed to be competitive, equitable, and fair. The On Target Earning (OTE) range for this role is $105,000 - $189,000 per year, consisting of a base salary range from $70,000 - $105,000 and a variable uncapped commission structure ranging from $35,000 - $84,000. Please note that the base salary offered will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
