Job Title: Business Development Associate
About the Role:
This exciting opportunity combines a diverse set of skills and the ability to find quick, reliable solutions on the go. As a Business Development Associate, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Group Country Manager for the Caribbean and Central America region with day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Group Country Manager's agenda, including meetings, events, appointments, travel arrangements, and transportation coordination.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company's business, products/services, and corporate processes.
- Assist in the development of Monthly Business Reviews for the Caribbean and Central America region.
- Organize and create quarterly town hall meetings for the Caribbean and Central America region.
- Develop and publish weekly business updates for the Caribbean and Central America region to the company's leadership team.
- Manage distribution lists and maintain an updated organizational structure for the Caribbean and Central America region.
- Responsible for contract management in the region, with support from legal teams.
- Act as a single point of contact, managing and tracking all activities, and collaborate with in-country Business Development and functional teams to ensure goal alignment and execution on all initiatives.
- Assist with the management, planning, and tracking of key company events throughout the year.
- Coordinate hospitality for client visits at the company's offices, including room reservations, badge entry, catering orders, restaurant reservations, etc.
- Monitor product budgets and reporting associated with product platforms, ensuring budget optimization, adherence to proper processes, and timely delivery of initiatives within agreed budgets.
- Address all client queries and issues, providing timely and efficient solutions.
- Support the execution of the country's Business Plans and ensure initiatives, budgets, and KPIs are consistently met.
- Provide initiative support, tracking, problem-solving, and project management of operational processes and workflows with other teams.
- Utilize internal management tools to track various initiatives per client.
- Undertake special projects and ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months of work experience or a Bachelor's Degree (for Associate level)
- Preferred: 2 or more years of work experience, 1-3 years of professional experience
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (both verbal and written), with Portuguese being a plus
- Strong presentation and planning skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills (ability to interact with several teams simultaneously) and time management abilities
- Detail-oriented and numbers-oriented mindset
- Strong reporting, documentation, and presentation skills
- Analytical mindset - able to analyze situations and offer solutions to common problems
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Skilled in coordinating internal and external resources and nurturing cross-functional relationships
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Dynamics
- Knowledge of SAP Concur is a plus
- Understanding of electronic payments is desirable
- Strong ability to apply efficient decision-making, problem-solving, and technical skills
Additional Information:
- Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department
- Travel Requirements: This position requires 5-10% travel
- Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting, requiring the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, and frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.
