Business Associate 2 - Billing and Finance Location Oklahoma : Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG) is seeking a Business Associate 2 to join the Billing and Finance team within the U.S. Group division. The Business Associate 2 will perform all the duties necessary to ensure quality customer service for policy and certificate holders. The basis for achieving quality customer service is consistency in maintaining departmental standards for quality and service in the administration of billing and premium collection, and any related activities. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Timely prepare and transmit weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly bills generated by PALIG, and audit/compare group self-bills to PALIG system eligibility Monitor accounts receivable on a daily basis and timely collect due premium Notify clients of past-due or delinquent premium and, if appropriate, timely terminate the group policy for non-payment of premium Monitor unapplied cash in Premium Suspense on a daily basis and reconcile paid premium within the 48-hour departmental standard Post reconciled premium to the administration system Timely process termination requests received from group administrators and/or the Account Management team Communicate with group administrators, the Account Management team, and Regional Sales Vice Presidents, as needed, to resolve billing issues Participate in group "welcome calls" to review billing process Process credit card payments for individual billings upon receipt of proper authorizations Compile data for semi-annual reporting of unclaimed funds to Legal Department and escheatment TPA for Domestic Markets lines of business, including PABS Administration and Special Markets Monitor premium received in Lockbox and prepare the daily financial entries to record daily cash receipts and update the general ledger cash accounts Organize payment documentation and distribute payment details to Billing staff Process the weekly premium and commission close, validate commission calculations and payments, transfer requests for commission and admin fee payments to the corporate Cash Disbursement system, verify accurate transfer of processed premium and commissions accounting to the corporate general ledger, and work with IT to immediately resolve errors that could delay or prevent the successful close of the cycle Prepare manual accounting entries for premium and commission adjustments not processed through the administration system Complete special assignments and projects, as needed EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School diploma and 2 years' relevant experience required Bachelor's degree in a business-related field and minimum of 1 years' accounting experience preferred LOMA, or other, designation preferred Professional Insurance designation, such as FMLI, preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Knowledge of and competency in general mathematical computations Strong PC skills and knowledge of MS Office Suite applications, especially Excel Knowledge of or experience with Group Insurance preferred Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Strong customer service skills Strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills Ability to balance and reconcile accounts preferred Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred Pan-American Life Insurance Group Offers: Comprehensive Compensation Packages (base & bonus) A Comprehensive Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, 401K, Paid Time Off, and Tuition Reimbursement (etc.) are some examples.
