MSTS is a limited liability company consisting of Honeywell International Inc. (Honeywell), Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (Jacobs), and HII Nuclear Inc.
The Counterintelligence (CI) Business Assistant will report to the Senior Counterintelligence Officer (SCIO) of the Department of Energy (DOE), CI Las Vegas Field Office (LVFO) and will receive functional direction from the SCIO.
Key Responsibilities Directly provides administrative support to the SCIO.
Perform a wide range of routine administrative tasks requiring minimal supervision.
Coordinate and maintain status of specialized documents, records, and files directly related to management policies, general business operations, and support of assigned organization in compliance with organizational, Company, and National Nuclear Security Administration regulations.
Compose routine correspondence in response to requests for services and answers inquiries from other organizations or outside entities.
Monitor all follow-up actions required by supervisor/manager.
Review organizations administrative techniques and recommends changes to procedures as required.
Perform routine to complex administrative tasks such as analyzing incoming correspondence, logging correspondence in computer, and determining whether the document requires further action.
Perform administrative tasks of a specialized nature to research, analyze, and develop projects and assignments.
Ensure that computer transactions and documentation are accurate and makes updates as required.
Extract data from reference material; compiles and prepares or helps to prepare information for studies or reports.
Maintain files of various information and historical data.
May implement records management program.
Act as department time-card administrator.
Provide meeting minutes as requested.
Maintain inventory of supplies and places orders as necessary.
Organize material for meetings, presentations, and training sessions for the LVFO and its interaction with members of the US Intelligence Community partners in performing its Department of Energy (DOE) national security mission.
Provide assistance to Counterintelligence Officers (CIO's) within LVFO in preparing briefings and debriefings for travelers going on foreign travel and inputting briefing/debriefing information into all appropriate CI databases. 
Perform other duties as assigned. High School diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years' of related experience. Experience that provided a working knowledge of administrative policies and procedures and computer technology. Knowledge of technical vocabularies and terminology common to the assignment. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills with proficiency in composition, proofreading, and grammar. Demonstrated knowledge of administrative functions, including budget and financial functions, desirable. Skills to develop and analyze information for studies and reports. Computer skills with software applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); database skills are desirable. Must be able to cope with conflicting deadlines, frequent interruptions, and multiple tasks.  Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Must possess a valid driver's license. MSTS is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants offered employment with MSTS are also subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter if the duties of the position require a DOE security clearance. Substance abuse or illegal drug use, falsification of information, criminal activity, serious misconduct or other indicators of untrustworthiness can cause a clearance to be denied or terminated by DOE, resulting in the inability to perform the duties assigned and subsequent termination of employment. In addition, Applicants for employment must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship, at least 18 years of age. Reference DOE Order 472.2 , "Personnel Security". If you hold more than one citizenship (i.e., of the U.S. and another country), your ability to obtain a security clearance may be impacted.
Department of Energy Q Clearance (position will be cleared to this level). Reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR Part 707.4 , "Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites," will be conducted. Applicant selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation, required to participate in subsequent reinvestigations, and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. Successful completion of a counterintelligence evaluation, which may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination, may also be required. Reference 10 CFR Part 709 , "Counterintelligence Evaluation Program."

Hourly range for this position is $23.05 - $34.58. Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
