The Bus Driver/After Care Assistant teacher will help support the day-to-day operations of the after-school program including transportation on daily routes, activities, arts and crafts, games, educational programs, and homework. Transport children on daily routes and weekly field trips. Always promotes safety by keeping first aid supplies on bus fully stocked. Ensures the bus rules are announced and followed. Complete thorough before-and-after trip checks each day and records all information, such as gas level, mileage, and maintenance designated forms. Cleans out bus each day. Helps with the daily operations of the after-school Assists with activities such as homework, games, arts and crafts, and educational programs. Enforces all YMCA childcare rules and regulations and ensures safety in the Greets new arrivals and introduces them to other Reports camper complaints to leadership and helps to resolve the Supervises and interacts with Assists in organization of age-appropriate PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
High school diploma or equivalent At least 21 years of Possess appropriate class license. Safe driving record. A current MVR will be required. Knowledge of the rules/guidelines related to commercial passenger vehicles (bus). Previous experience working with children Must pass reference checks and background screenings, which include fingerprint check. Enthusiastic and positive attitude Excellent communication skills 12% Employer Funded Retirement Plan (once eligible) Adult membership to the YMCA of Pueblo 50% discount on Association member rate for classes or programs that require a member fee Career development and training opportunities USD $14.50 - USD $16.50 /Hr.
