We are seeking a dedicated Bureau Specialist to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in managing our relationships with Workers Compensation Insurance Rating Bureaus, such as the Workers Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California (WCIRB) and the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI). The successful candidate will handle bureau correspondence, address policy issues, and provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address bureau-related inquiries and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
2. Respond promptly to bureau requests and handle escalated issues with professionalism and expertise.
3. Process complex policy transactions, including endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, and non-renewals.
4. Research and resolve complex inquiries from customers and internal teams regarding bureau criticisms and work items.
5. Work independently to meet deadlines and service level agreements, prioritizing tasks effectively.
6. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze situations and make informed recommendations.
7. Maintain proficiency in using personal computers and Microsoft Office applications.
Qualifications:
1. Associates Degree or higher education.
2. A minimum of 6 years of experience in the Workers Compensation industry, with a focus on underwriting and underwriting support.
3. A solid understanding of NCCI and/or Independent Bureau State(s) operations.
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members, customers, and stakeholders.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to handle a variety of tasks in a dynamic environment.
6. Proficiency in using personal computers and Microsoft Office software, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate ranging from $19.00 to $27.00 per hour.
