This includes researching and analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and performing key accounting tasks.
Job Summary: We are seeking someone who can help us with the following:
- Assist with developing and monitoring annual budget
- Document financial transactions
- Summarize current financial status
- Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
- Maintain accounting controls
- Prepare financial analysis through research and data analysis
- Provide accurate financial information to department leaders
- Contribute to team efforts
- Properly code state and federal revenue
- Ensure compliance with financial accounting standards
- Support resource allocation processes
- Coordinate accounting process for special funded projects
- Reconcile electronic data reporting systems
- Manage grants received by the division
- Assist with technical accounting tasks
- Coordinate budget submissions
- Ensure correct accounting period transactions
- Comply with financial regulations
- Research and interpret accounting policy and regulations
- Complete other assigned duties
- Stay updated with professional knowledge
- Perform similar duties as assigned
Qualifications : We are looking for someone with these qualifications :
- College graduate with a major in accounting, business administration, or related field
- Three years of accounting experience with emphasis on budgeting and financial analysis
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: We are seeking someone with these skills:
- Strong accounting skills
- Ability to maintain the general accounting function
- Knowledge of computerized accounting systems
- Knowledge of governmental accounting (preferred)
- Knowledge of education financial rules and regulations (preferred)
