We are looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our customers in a safe and timely manner. We typically make one-two trips per week to North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama or into the Northeast. At times the trip will require an overnight stay.
Responsibilities: Transport finished goods to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers Carry product from truck to customer at times Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Meet delivery schedules by reading the predetermined route and inputting into GPS Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Requirements: Proven work experience as a truck driver Able to pick up 45 pounds consistently Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc) DOT Physical Valid License Ability to drive and travel semi-regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Flexible schedule as deliveries vary between Monday - Friday Self-starter Experience: Truck Driving: 1 year (required) CDL Driving: 1 year (preferred) About Door Tech
