Job summary
The Bookstore Accounting Clerk performs clerical accounting functions.
Job seniority: entry level
Responsibilities
• Monitors and reconciles student account uploads to University accounts.• Prepares Bookstore invoices and credit memos for payment.• Performs daily reconciliation of accounts receivable to general ledger.• Prepares monthly Bookstore standard account entries and entries specific to year end.• Coordinates year end inventory process using Bookstore software.• Orders general merchandise items for the store.• Coordinates ordering of faculty rental regalia.• Provides customer service.
Requirements
• High School diploma or GED certificate required.• Associate Degree with retail bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.• Experience with PC based software such as Microsoft Excel and Word.• Ability to read, write, and perform basic accounting functions.• Ability to solve practical problems and follow instructions.• Effective communication skills.• Attention to detail.
