Primary Responsibilities:Accounts payable and receivable, primarily through QuickBooks (both Online & Desktop) and BILLPayroll processing via Gusto payroll softwareMonthly bank and investment reconciliationsJournal entries and month-end closeoutFinancial reporting and budgetingMaintaining electronic client accounting files via Google DriveAudit preparationQuarterly staff meetings and frequent check-ins with supervisorOther accounting and administrative tasks, as neededOptional: Preparation & Filing of IRS form 990 for clientsMinimum Qualifications:Passion for working with a diverse group of non-profit organizationsAbility to perform detailed work with efficiency and accuracyProficiency with QuickBooks and ExcelAbility to work efficiently both independently and with a team, comfortable managing multiple clients/projectsAt least 1 to 2 years Accounting/Bookkeeping experienceAbility to demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality while working with sensitive informationStrong organizational, analytical, and math skills; very detail-orientedAbility to pass a background check & fluency in EnglishAwareness of, and working towards, racial and gender equityDesired Qualifications:At least 2 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience with non-profit organizationsBasic working knowledge of GAAP, Debits/Credits, and Cash/Accrual basisExperience managing multiple clients or projects at onceAccounting/Bookkeeping educationProficiency with Google Drive storage and filesExperience running payrollExperience preparing IRS Form 990 is a plus
