Body Shop Technician

Seeking an Automobile Body Technician (Body Tech) to repair damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications using hand tools and power tools.Responsibilities - Body Shop Tech:Greet and consult customers on service needs, perform a thorough vehicle walk around inspection as part of the write-upSell and up-sell services by emphasizing valueExamine damaged vehicles and estimate repair costsDisassemble damaged vehicles in a neat and organized mannerRemove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window-and-seat-operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle body and fendersFill depressions with body fillerRemove damaged fenders, panelsBolt or weld replacement parts in position, using wrenches or welding equipmentStraighten bent automobile framesFile, grind and sand repaired surfacesRefinish repaired surfaceAim headlights, align wheels, and bleed hydraulic brake systemRepair or replace defective mechanical partsQualifications/Requirements - Body Shop Tech:Two (2) years of experience as a vehicle body repairer or apprenticeWorking knowledge of all aspects of repairs for damaged body parts and bodies of vehiclesAbility to interpret industry repair procedures and Manufacturer Guidelines for repairMust exhibit a high level of attention to detail and flexibilityStrong verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environmentSelf-driven individual, ability to work with minimal directionAll qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.GPAC (Growing People and Companies) is an award-winning search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States since 1990.
