Job Summary If you're interested in a Biologist job, then this is the best role for you. This position is responsible for growing plants in control environment settings. Assist scientists in the study of pollen viability, silk health and seed production.
Job Description Studies the basic principles of plants and the effects of varying environmental and physical conditions. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Collect samples (field and greenhouse), perform viability assays, perform pollinations, accurately record data. Skills Required 1-3 years of experience. Must be able to lift to 50 Lbs. and repetitive movements like bending. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Education/Training/Certifications Bachelor's degree. Additional Requirements Must be able to pass drug screen & criminal background check. Will need to travel to the fields that are about 4-6 hours away from Chesterfield that will require overnight stays.
