What You Will be Doing Our Billing Specialist's primary responsibility is to ensure that all client invoices are accurately prepared and proficiently submitted for payment.
Key Duties: o Generate Payment Reports
o Promptly process and accurately record client payments including Daily Payments, Kenect/ACH, Checks, Refunds/Partial refunds
o Answer emails and telephone calls regarding invoices and payments
o Address and resolve client emails with billing inquiries and disputes
o Monitor outstanding balances and delinquent accounts, and communicate with clients regarding past-due invoices and payment arrangements
o Collect on invoices utilizing telephone calls, emails, and text messages
o Diligently follow up on failed payments and chargebacks
o Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks including processing invoices, expense reports, and reimbursements; and printing and depositing checks
o Verify the accuracy of billing data, including rates, hours worked, expenses, and flat fees; make necessary adjustments
o Merging and applying the payment to outstanding invoices
o Audits and collection on overdue invoices; send out certified collections letters
o Mail out past due and coming due invoices
Required Qualifications: o High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent; Associates degree highly preferred.
o At least two years' related experience required
o Ability to act with discretion, tact, and professionalism
o Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
o Proficient computer skills with ability to learn multiple software programs
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
o Customer service focus and ability to interact with clients as needed
o People person who can deliver outstanding client service
o Excellent telephone etiquette, with the ability to handle calls promptly and courteously.
o Highly organized and able to multi-task
o Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
o Attention to detail
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
o Ability to follow through and utilize strong time management skills
This part-time position is long-term.
