Job Title: BI Application Developer
Job Location: Boston, MA
Job Description: Develop, test and implement application components from the requirement and technical design documentation according to agency design standards Ensure all project documentation is created, archived and updated, including design, development and deployment documentation Support the development of data analytics and reporting Troubleshoot, debug and optimize code for performance and security Prototype and complete Proof of Concept developments for new developments and changes Help consolidate technology and applications to achieve business agility, cost reduction and improved customer experience Perform related tasks as required Required Skills and Qualifications: Solid experience and skill in the following technologies as design lead and developer level: ASP.Net, C#, .Net Framework with Microsoft IIS in an Azure Windows environment Proficient in JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML, Visual Studio and Bootstrap Experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization, using business intelligence (BI) tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik Sense or other) Strong experience with analytical and problem-solving skills The ability to review/proof all code to ensure error-free functionality The ability to meet scheduled delivery dates as defined by the manager Experience working with agile/scrum 3-4 years of software development experience using ASP.Net, C# and MS SQL Server 2+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization Experience writing web applications to predefined UI and coding standards Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs Experience writing data-driven web applications and complex queries Demonstrated experience in debugging tools and testing methodologies The ability to communicate with staff and leadership to understand business needs, technology capabilities and limitations and build consensus Additionally, this individual must have: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Exceptional attention to detail Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask Great problem-solving and decision-making skills Skilled in the use of office equipment and technology for the job, including technology critical for remote work (e.g., Zoom, Outlook Calendar, Teams, etc.) Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision Ability to be discrete and keep sensitive information confidential
