Department: Location: Belknap Campus Time Type: Full time Worker Type: Regular Job Req ID: R102952 Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years experience administering benefits and retirement programs. Grade 4 Wage Range Min $20.92/hr Mid $26.15/hr Max $31.38/hr Position Description: Job Summary Counsel and educate faculty, staff, dependents and retirees on benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, long term disability, leave time, FML, tuition remission, retirement and any other programs that may be added. Respond to employee questions and resolve employee issues. Administer benefits programs on a daily basis including monitoring and updating data in Workday and on vendor reports such as discrepancy reports. Perform special projects, as needed. Position is located on the Belknap Campus with a hybrid/remote work arrangement with 1-2 days a week in office. A rotation at the Health Sciences Campus (HSC) and in person visits to customers will be required. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Respond to faculty and staff inquiries and work with employees and carriers to ensure a prompt resolution to problems/issues. Maintain, monitor and process all benefits-related data within Workday and in vendor systems/records. Also serve as subject matter expert for various benefit programs. Assist in the communication and implementation of new benefit programs. Assist in open enrollment by attending/conducting benefits fairs, responding to employee questions, etc. Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations regarding employee benefits, such as HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, etc. Completes routine data audits and benefit and retirement reconciliations on a regular basis. Develop and maintain documentation of critical benefits processes and procedures. Provide customer service, administrative, tactical, and system transaction support for a wide range of employee benefit tasks and processes. Provide analytical, technical, process, and project support to the Benefits team and others within Total Rewards. Conduct benefits presentation at New Hire Orientation and assist in open enrollment by attending/conducting benefits fairs, responding to employee questions, etc. Preferred Qualifications
2+ years experience administering employee health and welfare benefits. Experience administering benefits in a higher education environment. Proven communication skills, use time effectively and efficiently, critical thinking, organization, compassion, and detail oriented. Experience with Workday. Compensation Will Be Commensurate To Candidate Experience.
