Austin Benefits is currently looking for a new member to join our team as a full time Benefit Administration Specialist. Responsibilities include:

Process Open Enrollment Elections by verify all enrollments have been received for each employee at the client site. Update benefit carriers and online systems with enrollment changes. Scan all information into the clients folder for tracking purposes.
Process New Hire Elections by reviewing enrollment forms to ensure all necessary information is complete. Identify and enroll new hire's per the clients rules under the benefit plan. Process employee information with the benefit carriers and in online enrollment system.
Process Employee Terminations by reviewing termination documentation to ensure all necessary information is complete. Process termination with the benefit carriers and in the online enrollment system. Identify if the employee meets the COBRA eligibility requirements and process with the COBRA vendor, if necessary.
Process Qualifying Events by reviewing the information provided to ensure it meets the Section 125 requirements. Process life event with the benefit carriers and in the online enrollment system. Communicate changes with the client.
Create monthly reporting for the clients if necessary.
Assist clients with any enrollment / termination questions or issues.
Assist Account Management team and Benefit Analyst team when necessary.
Audit all carrier invoices to ensure that changes are correctly processed.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Must have 2-5 years of related administration skills and experience. Human Resource experience is a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products especially Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint. College degree required.
