PDCS is currently seeking a Full-Time Behavior Support Specialist who is interested in joining an organization that embraces the practice of being person driven, to organize meaningful behavioral support services for individuals living with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and/or with Mental Health (MH).
Pay Range - $45,000 to $60,000 depending on education and experience with a $2500 Sign On Bonus!!
REQUIREMENTS: A Valid Driver's LicenseA Master's Degree in Human Services or a related field is preferred.A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Behavioral Technician, Behavior Support Technician, or a Therapeutic Staff Support is required.Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with IDD/MH individuals.Knowledge and experience with Positive Approaches, Dual Diagnosis, Person Centered Thinking, trauma informed care, group facilitation, and staff mentoring a plus.The ideal candidate must be able to: Complete a basic functional assessment,Identify an individual's needs,Partner with program participants and Direct Support Professionals (DSP), while having the ability to work in a team environmentRespond to planned training and support needs, facilitate debriefings, develop support agreements and maintain progress notes and required documentation.Function with autonomy, discipline, diplomacy and professionalism within the guidelines established by this organizationPromote the well-being of the organization and report any concerns to the PDCS Regional DirectorFunction with the highest esteem in dealing with all individuals, provider employees, supervisors, and funding/monitoring countiesAct as a clinical leader and a mentor with Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in regards to the person's clinical and support needsBe an advocate for all of the policies, protocols and practices of the organizationWe Offer Excellent Perks and Benefits: Medical, Dental and Vision benefits$2500 Sign On Bonus401k, Life & Disability InsuranceGenerous PTOPaid Training & Career AdvancementA Great Team EnvironmentCompetitive WagesDaily Pay – a benefit that allows you to access your pay when you need it.Life Assistance and Wellness ProgramApis Services, Inc.
