About the position:
Award Behavioral Health provides family-centered behavioral support and coordination of services. Families with children with behavioral disorders require a customized care plan based on their unique needs, goals, and circumstances. Our approach to ABA focuses on real life application and integration of truly functional skills. Services will be provided in the environment in which the skill will be used, to aid in the generalization of skills and ensure that they are embedded into daily life. Family members are provided with training to promote growth, independence, and integration, and services are tailored to each family's unique needs.
We are looking for an LBA to join our team, who is passionate about working closely and collaboratively with families in order to make meaningful change. The ideal candidate will value collaboration, respect, transparency, and growth.
Responsibilities:
Complete Skill Acquisition Assessments including Social & Communication Skill Assessments, tools such as VB-MAPP, AFLS, ABLLS-R, Vineland, etc.
Complete Functional Behavior Assessments
Develop individual goals and objectives to be included in the client's treatment plan
Develop written guidelines for behavior intervention plans to reduce maladaptive behaviors
Develop or modify skill acquisition programs designed to teach functional skills
Analyze data on a weekly basis to determine effectiveness of treatment plan; complete assessments and modifications when necessary to improve effectiveness of treatment plan
Provide training (to client families, behavior techs, and other individuals/agencies contracted for training) in behavioral interventions and ABA teaching methods as assigned
Develop periodic Progress Reports, and complete re-assessments
Provide training and supervision to Behavior Therapists/Registered Behavior Therapists/BCaBAs
Communicate any concerns to the Clinical Director in a timely manner
Inform the Clinical Director of all team treatment planning meeting dates/times as they are scheduled, to facilitate supervisory attendance at meetings
Participate in staff training as assigned or as per agency policy
Represent the agency professionally and ethically to all stakeholders, in meetings or at conferences related to the field of ABA
Requirements:
Must hold current BCBA and be a Licensed Behavior Analyst in New York. Extensive knowledge of ABA and its application to clients with ASD, ADHD, or Social-Emotional Delays. Experience in home and community-based settings preferred. Experience providing remote supervision preferred.
