Elevated tacos & regional Mexican cuisine Gracia is hiring an experienced Bartender/Server with flexible availability for 4-5 shifts per week. We are specifically looking for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday brunch with the ability to pick up more shifts as coverage is needed. It will be a mix of both serving and bartending shifts. Ideally, you will have experience hosting, serving, and bartending in a high volume environment.
We are looking for someone who is a quick-learner and a hard-worker who works well under pressure. The right candidate will be a team-player who is self-motivated, reliable and detail-oriented; has a passion for food and hospitality; and delivers outstanding customer service. Our bar boasts one of the largest tequila/mezcal selections in the city, so knowledge in agave spirits is a plus, but we are always willing to train. As a company, we routinely schedule staff education and tastings in order to deepen our knowledge of Mexican spirits and cuisine. We take pride in what we do as a chef-driven, food-forward restaurant specializing in regional Mexican cuisine.
In order to be a qualified applicant, it will have to be apparent that you have a fair amount of experience doing all the positions in the FOH, as you will have to perform all of them here. We are looking for someone who is just as comfortable being behind the bar and also serving a 5-8 table section. Problem solving, reliability, team work, willingness to work, customer focused attitude and quick learning/adaptation are specific things that we are looking for, as well as a general sense of keeping your cool during a push. We have many people that have been here for quite a while -- it's a good job with consistent money. Payrate: $17.25/hr + tips. This is a shared tip environment.
