As a Fort Pontchartrain Hotel Bartender, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences at our renowned establishment. Your primary responsibility will be to craft and serve a variety of beverages while ensuring the highest level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in compliance with standard recipes and customer preferences. Interact with guests in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner, ensuring their satisfaction throughout their bar experience. Maintain a thorough knowledge of all menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation, in order to provide accurate recommendations and suggestions. Monitor and adhere to all liquor laws and regulations to maintain a safe and responsible environment. Keep the bar area clean, organized, and stocked by restocking supplies, monitoring inventory levels, and disposing of waste appropriately. Operate and maintain bar equipment, including but not limited to, blenders, shakers, and cash registers, in a proper and efficient manner. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and accurate food and beverage service, including taking food orders and coordinating timing with the kitchen staff. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and accurately process payments through the POS system. Maintain a clean and presentable appearance by following grooming standards and wearing the designated uniform. Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing any guest concerns or complaints and escalating them to the appropriate supervisor or manager when necessary. Continuously update knowledge of beverage trends, mixology techniques, and new cocktail recipes to enhance the bar experience for guests. Qualifications:
Minimum education level: High School diploma or equivalent required. Previous bartending experience in a high-volume establishment is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of different alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, their recipes, and proper serving techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and management. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience with POS systems is a plus. Flexibility to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as required by the business.
