Essential Duties and Responsibilities Exercise and promote safetyUnderstand and use small toolsAssist with end of the month inventoryRead and understand information on the manifestKnow where to find the S.O. number, lot number and serial numberKnow where to find weight, length and piece countFill out the pre-manifest and the manifest after the task is completeInspect rigging (i.e. straps, spreader bar, booms)Discern what rigging is required for size, weight and shape of loadUnderstand the locations of materialsUnderstand how to properly protect materialUnderstand and utilize the Box Location computer program to identify and locate finished goods after scanningLoad trucks and implement training for loadingMark each stop correctlyFill out truck verificationRecognize truck safety and always chock wheelsKnow the weekly scheduleComplete inventory scans independentlyOther duties as assignedQualifications Minimum Education: HS Diploma or GEDMinimum Experience: NoneCertifications Required: Confined spaces certification; Crane certification; Fall protection certification; Forklift certification; Lock-out/Tag-out certification; Pallet jack certification (certifications will be obtained during orientation)Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Communication Skills: Ability to effectively listen and communicate ideas and thoughts to others; able to assimilate ideas originated by othersMathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimalsReasoning Skills: Ability to carry out and communicate written and/or oral instructionsPhysical Abilities: Regularly required to stand, walk and use hands; must be able to lift 50 pounds at any time during his/her shift; the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsWorking Conditions Schedule: 1st shiftSafety All UAC employees must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety training, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries.
