POSITION: Baler Operator
REPORTS TO: Operations Supervisor
LOCATION: Fresno, CA
PAY RANGE: $17.00-$22.00/per hour, DOE

BASIC FUNCTIONS: Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various balers that compact and bind sorted material.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform daily inspections on the balers and report any defects to supervisors Complete all required daily maintenance and cleaning tasks Complete and submit all daily production paperwork Maintain the work area keeping equipment in a clean and orderly condition Operate control panels to open bunkers, move conveyor lines, and feed the balers with material Produce bales that maintain the minimum weight standards for that product type Move bales using a forklift to the designated storage location Inspect finished bales for contamination, cleaning them as needed Perform other cleaning or equipment related tasks as directed Enforce and follow all safety policies and procedures Maintain good communication with co-workers and supervisors Perform other duties as assigned REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE): One year of related or similar work experience-Preferred but not required Forklift experience-Preferred but not required Highly self - motivated with ability to complete tasks with limited supervision Ability to work in fast paced environment Must be willing to work in an outdoor setting with exposure to various weather conditions, dust, odors, noise, Ability to lift 50lbs Bilingual; English/Spanish-Preferred but not required Ability to read and write in English-Preferred but not required
