GavinHeath has partnered with a client in Greeley, CO, a family-owned organization undergoing a significant technological transformation. We are seeking a full-time Azure DevOps Platform Engineer to join their team. This is an urgent position, aimed to be filled by the end of next week, complementing our efforts to find the best talent for enhancing their Azure-based ecosystem.

As we navigate this significant change, we seek an Azure DevOps Platform Engineer to ensure our product remains accessible and performs flawlessly during and after this transition.

Role Overview:
The Azure DevOps Platform Engineer is a key player in our transition to the cloud, responsible for architecting, developing, and deploying robust infrastructure solutions using Azure. This role requires a blend of technical prowess in Azure technologies, strategic problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of DevOps principles. The ideal candidate will not only execute technical tasks but also contribute to strategic decisions, ensuring our infrastructure supports our growth and efficiency goals.

Essential Qualifications:
Demonstrated expertise in Azure, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure SSO implementations.
Proven ability to design and implement Canary Deployment strategies and comprehensive activity/error logging systems.
Experience in setting up, maintaining, and strategically utilizing Azure API Gateways.
Demonstrated experience developing Typescript APIs and Microservices. The ideal candidate has a passion for development and problem-solving, with a willingness to grow into platform engineering roles.
Ability to think strategically about system architecture and its implications for business goals.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Autonomy in problem-solving and decision-making, with a track record of leading projects to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities: Design and implement Azure Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions from scratch, incorporating advanced Azure AD features to ensure secure and streamlined user access across our platform.
Design and execute Canary (Blue/Green) deployment strategies, achieving zero-downtime deployments and maintaining high system reliability.
Develop comprehensive activity/error logging and reporting mechanisms across all environments, enabling proactive issue resolution and optimization.
Set up and maintain Azure API Gateways, orchestrating seamless access to our services and addressing complex architectural challenges.
Configure development, staging, pre-production, and production environments in Azure, ensuring optimal performance and seamless transitions.
Collaborate on strategic projects, offering insights into architectural decisions and contributing to the evolution of our platform and practices.
