Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Azure Architect to join our dynamic team at the World Bank Group. As an Azure Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across various departments to understand their requirements and provide scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain Azure-based solutions to meet the organization's technical requirements and business objectives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical specifications and architectural designs.
Provide guidance and expertise on Azure best practices, architecture principles, and cloud-native solutions.
Lead the planning and execution of cloud migration projects, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
Architect scalable and resilient cloud infrastructures, incorporating automation and DevOps practices for efficient deployment and management.
Ensure compliance with security standards, data protection regulations, and industry best practices.
Evaluate new Azure services and technologies, and make recommendations for their adoption based on business needs and technical feasibility.
Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as an Azure Architect or similar role, with a strong background in designing and implementing cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
In-depth knowledge of Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, security, and identity management.
Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, including virtual networks, VPNs, and load balancers.
Familiarity with agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent are a plus.
