We are looking for a Equipment & Controls Planning Engineer who supports the transportation service provider to ensure they meet all key performance indicators (KPIs) and serves as a point of contact to assist in resolving any issues related to the targets being achieved. Leads and steers projects related to the provider and demonstrates the ability to create and utilize escalation processes to ensure support and accountability of the transportation service provider.
Performs and documents both monthly and quarterly evaluations of transportation service provider performance to ensure they are achieving all established targets. Reports on the transportation service provider non-conformances in a structured manner. Defines an escalation process to report identified repetitive issues with identified countermeasures. Utilizes defined escalation paths when required to ensure support, action and accountability is provided, steer as needed. Provides recommendations on how the transportation service provider can improve operational efficiencies to include, but not limited to, team collaboration, visual management, best practices, etc. Collaborates actively with the transportation service providers and/or other process partners impacted by the transportation service provider's processes. Ensures process standardization is maintained on all shifts through process revisions and communications with the immediate team and/or transportation service providers. Establishes individual performance targets for transportation service providers and provides documented quarterly performance reviews. Bachelor Degree in in Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field, or the equivalent of 4+ years' experience in a related area preferably in a manufacturing environment. 5+ years professional managing logistics service provider/supplier contract compliance and/or supply chain management experience. 3+ years of Project Management experience 3+ years of experience of conduction predictive analytics or statistical risk analysis 3+ years' experience of transportation scheduling 5+ years proven problem solving skills.
