Automotive Technician

Job Summary:Carl Hogan GM is currently seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team in Columbus, Mississippi. As an Automotive Technician, you will diagnose, maintain and repair vehicles, as well as advise customers on the proper care and maintenance of their vehicles.Compensation & Benefits:This job is a full time position offering a competitive wage of $14-$31 per hour, paid weekly, and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, 401(k), vacation days, uniforms and paid holidays.Responsibilities:Diagnose, repair, and maintain all aspects of vehicles in accordance with dealership standardsAdvise customers on proper vehicle care and maintenanceProvide prompt and courteous serviceOperate and test vehicles to diagnose automotive problemsReport mechanical malfunctions to supervisorKeep repair shop neat and orderlyFollow company safety proceduresRequirements:Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanicAbility to cultivate trust and build relationships with customersThorough knowledge of mechanical and electrical components of vehiclesAbility to read and interpret diagnostic test resultsAbility to identify and troubleshoot malfunctionsFamiliarity with standard industry practices and proceduresAttention to detailBasic computer skillsAbility to effectively communicateAbility to work with minimal supervisionValid driver's licenseEEOC Statement:Carl Hogan GM is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
